Cabinet

A body of obsidian wood,
Silver handles a-hung.
A breath of dust adorn,
Smooth is the beast.
Smells and options lay forgotten,
Along the dusty shore.
Also along the monster’s hoard,
Collections of memories past.
Takes me back to those days,
Where the dust was no more.
A lick gives the taste of copper,
Handles just like blood.
The roll that comes from the pull,
Cotton treasures trapped.
Heavy is its iron grip,
But decency is yours.
The beast carries a hypnotic eye,
With an electric tongue.
I slip a thought in the beast’s brain
And thrive in adventures within.

Carefree

After which, was born to thee
Underneath the falling tree.
Diluted rays, all to see
Caressing bodies with abundant glee.
On cotton lands we have some tea
With the company of a friendly bee
A delightful afternoon of three:
Insect, you, and me.
You are  on a killing spree
As you dice up the remaining brie
A little bit spills on your knee
Which attracts the attention of a flea.
Our bug friend tells it to flee,
“Get, you! Go on to the quay!
There you will like the smell of the sea!”
All that seemed to be the key,
As your body, of the visitor, was free.
You clean yourself of cheese debris
And then you say, “Come sweet pea,
Let us go to the golfing tee
For there is the grand prix!”
I am a little wee,
Suggested you carry, I agree
And then I then to a degree
How you support me without a plea
Oh, I love you Marie.
Oops, I need to pee.

Natalis

The hand that clutches the frozen palace
Breath stolen from my heart
All because of the thievish chalice
That tore all restraint apart.
Back toward the time of stolen light
In the company of the wise men
Naturally, of course, their spirits were bright
In the grasp of their humble den.
Sin coursed them with electric fever
In a fury of song and game
Think I’d fall not for the deceiver
But my along I do not blame.
Ironic that a time of birth caused a release
But in their company I found my peace.
