In February of 2017, one brave man on a subway in New York noticed the discomfort in every person riding alongside him because somebody vandalized the subway with hateful slander and symbols the night before. He thought “alcohol removes permanent marker,” and began telling everyone to take out their hand sanitizers and everybody on that subway, despite their differences, came together to clean the graffiti. 

Purell wants everybody to know that we do not stand for hate with a TV spot simplifying this story. The spot follows a grandmother and her granddaughter, who heroically step up to initiate the cleaning of a park bench.
