LC2 Petit Modelé Armchair by Le Corbusier Exhibit Space
This is the perspective view of the entry space of my exhibit. Its statement a curvilinear wall wrapped in a mural of the designer, Le Corbusier. It also includes a modern desk with laptop and a LC6 desk chair by Le Corbusier.
This is an entry alternate perspective view showing the entry and a sneak peak of the rest of the space.
This is the perspective view of the first display in my exhibition. It is displaying a remake model of one of Le Corbusier's most famous architecture works, Villa Savoye. The display space is supported by an info wall showcasing the original drawing of Le Corbusier's architectural documents.
This is the perspective view of the second display in my exhibition. It is displaying a model car that Le Corbusier drew up plans for. Although it was never actually manufactured, many people have created sculpture pieces to show off the design. The display space is supported by an info wall showcasing Le Corbusier's original car dimensions and illustrations.
This is an alternative perspective view from the back of the exhibit looking into the space. Here is a sneak peak of the armchair itself, which is what the exhibit was designed around.
This is a perspective view of the LC2 Petit Modelé Armchair by Le Corbusier. It is sitting upon a stage supported by a side table that was also a furniture piece from the International Style Era. The wall of windows and skylights provide natural lighting on the chair display.
Process Work
This is a concept board inspired by the International Style. The international Style inspiration was depicted from the LC2 Petit Modelé Armchair, as this is the era the chair was created in. The International Style includes bended steel pieces, little color, and clean and sophisticated forms. This board was the first step in my process work.
This is the bubble diagram I created when first envisioning a space for my exhibit around the armchair.
This is a parti diagram when I had confirmed the layout and flow of my space.
This is a final hand rendering of the floor plan I was planning to execute on the computer. This plan includes my entry, three displays, windows, and flooring.
