Rethink: Strategy Portfolio as a Research Analyst

As a Research Analyst in a cosmetic packaging company, my work involved coming up with design insights & research methodologies that could be adopted by the team of designers & engineers.

During this time I extensively studied Edward de Bono, Jon Kolko, Tim Brown & Jane Fulton Suri. Inspired by their talks & books, these are a few research directions that were implemented & followed in the process of creating cosmetic packages.

Tom Kelley has often been quoted saying "Think like a Traveler". To embrace this habit I picked up two areas to understand them in a new light - Mountain Biking, Designing for Disability. This was the starting point in the journey of embracing something 'new'.

Looking at something through the eyes of a traveller lead me to a series of insights. Some of these, highlighted below, were monumental in shaping my design & thinking strategy during my months at Zen Design Solutions.
Through the eyes of a traveler I started looking at everyday behaviors of people around me. This led to a series of insights that later shaped future interfaces at Zen. One of such interfaces has been filed for a patent.
