Dragonfly was the third book published by Ed Pilolla and was a book of poetry/love letters.  A violet dragonfly and fiery leaves set the mood for the book.  Art direction, illustration and typography by Mark Dixon.

The cover design is a wraparound for perfect-bound paperbacks.  This is without the spine text and back barcode label which were added later.  The Eddie P Press logo was moved to accomodate the barcode.

The vines, understory ferns and leaves were created in layers and assembled after experimenting to achieve a pleasing arrangement on both the front and back of the book.  The dragonflies were later positioned on the vines and the ferns were faded out vertically into the background.

The title lettering was modified from the font KiloGram.  The subtitle and author's name are in Lubalin Graph Medium.
