The Studio Elective titled 'Dailies' looked at creating a series of quick-paced exercises designed to spur design thinking through a daily creative act situated within an articulated formal and conceptual framework.
I wanted to create simple portraits under the theme of 'Movember' which is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.
Here are some initial explorations that really helped me to figure out a visual style that would guide all my portraits.
I also integrated the concept of moods that would elevate the overall expression and narrative.
By cutting each portrait into half, I was able to create more diversity into the overall project. It also enabled the user to interact more and actually try and find a mix that they could probably relate to.
These are the final 18 portraits that I developed keeping all the different constraints listed above in mind.
These were made with a round brush and indian ink.

The final project was titled 'Weard Beird' and the video below shows how the user was able to interact with the final package.
