This project started out with a simple aim: to create a mobile solution to tackle gender inequality. We focussed specifically on people of a lower income and thus created a USSD, later to be scaled up to an app. 

We found that gender inequality starts out with perceptions of gender roles and these perceptions are formed at a young age. With our target audience being South African children, our solution was to create a free USSD system for gender neutral stories South African children can read or be read to, all in their own language.

Through prototyping we created the best solutions for the wireframing and design. We met regularly with our target audience to ensure we are creating something relevant and impactful. We also created promotional posters and a promotional video.
