Thorn

In 2015 wandering in the park around my house in Istanbul , I came across some dried plants with thorns , the shape and form of the thorn were unique design by mother nature. An idea of using the thorns in a mask flashed in my mind and after two months of working I finished the mask. The mask stayed silent till 2016 when I decided to shoot  an experimental psychedelic  short film for it. The idea of short film then turned out to be a music video for the band KLAN whom I also play drums for. In summer of 2016 I designed and created the costume of Thorn with talented costume designer Musa Yılmaz. 

As an idea Thorn is a shamanic forest creature in a girls dream. In a cold  december day in the same park where I collected the thorns and  with help from professional and amateur friends  as a crew and with a very very low budget we shot the video.
