ST.LUCY / ARTEMIS

St. Lucy's name, Santa Lucia in italian, is believe to be derived from the latin word Lux, a term for light.
She is the patron saint of Ortigia (Sicily) in which, before the advent of Catholicism, the Greek goddess Artemis was venerated. Artemis was often associated with the "new moon".
Both the Saint and the Goddess were symbol of light, chastity and pride.

Kronos was the leader and youngest of the forst generation of Titans. He overthrew his father Uranus and ruled during the Golden age, until he was overthrown by his own son Zeus. Kronos ate his children to prevent his depose, and beacause of that he represented the destructive ravage of time which devasted all things.
CIRCE / ISHTAR
Then I reversed the spell, showing you my goodness and my power
Circe is a goddess of magic in the Greek mythology, daughter of the titan Helios.
Ishtar was the ancient Akkadian, Babylonians and Assyrians goddess of love, beauty, sex, desire.
Circe resembles the equally ambitious Ishtar, a fearsome, accomplished seductress who threatens to transform her lovers into animals.
