In today’s ultra-commercialized society, brands have become like shadows of our identity - breading perpetual discontentment and a sense of emptiness. This point is illustrated through the typographic interpretation of 'The Shadow Industry' (a short story by australian novelist Peter Carey). Using light and shadow in an exposure process called ‘cyanotype sensitization’, experimental typography was created to subtly highlight the poetry of the shadow metaphor whilst telling the story of a world infiltrated by shadows.
