ADIDAS CLIMA BAGS

I really enjoyed working on the design of this range because it included all stages: consumer-,  market- and trend research, creating mood boards, choosing the fabric and an in depth concept phase.

Year: 2016
Creative Direction: Satwik Saraswati

Key takeaways from trend research. These were also relevant for the takedown versions of the bags.

Working board and positioning on market:
The bags of this range sit on a higher price point and are targeted at a consumer who is looking for a premium product that he will stand out with. It should look technical and innovative.

Concept Phase:

I also worked on the shoulder straps based on the design of my colleague Stefan Schenk. The concept is breathability and cut out holes. This I also took up visually for the ventilation system of the shoe compartments through laser cuts.
.
In order to hit the target price while keeping all the features like being water-resitant, having the premium shoulder straps and back panel, me and my team decided that some seems were not bonded but sewn on the final products (as opposed to the initial concept of having all seams bonded).
