Tradewinds is an installation done in Salem, Massachusetts in Summer 2016. I was part of the build team for the installation while working at Op.AL in Manhattan. The installation consisted of 1800 total pinwheels which spin in the wind as a nod to the sailing trade that built the city of Salem. Displayed in the center of town next to the Old City Hall, the installation draws visitors and residents in to the square and celebrates the heritage and future of the city.
