Green Doors - #prolomitstigma / #shatterthestigma
Green Doors (a Czech non-governmental, non-profit organisation which is involved in the work and social rehabilitation of people with mental illness. They wanted to do something about how mentally ill are perceived in Czech Republic, as it’s never really positive.
The concept takes quotes of general opinions on mental illness. Opinions formed with prejudice and not enough knowledge.Because of this mentally ill are perceived as crazy, dangerous and hopeless people. Which is not the case. They put this stigma onto them, and it influences how they see themselves. But their opinion is distorted as it’s based on misinformation.
This poster series hang at Vnitroblock and various other cafe's in Prague.
