A Book Of Chinese Superstitions

A  Book Of Chinese Superstitions
A risograph-ed publication that sums up
what our Ah-Ma always say to educate us.
Folklores and old wives tales exist as guides and advice passed down from elders to the generation in order
for them to know how to behave in life. Not everything is grounded in science, but some advice contains nuggets
of truth that if re-contextualized, allows us to reap better outcomes in life.

This publication features exposition of old advice that young people do not listen but actually make sense. It is
irony how it does not make sense while we were young but eventually contains applicable wisdom in retrospect.
This is a publication that uses rispgraph printing technique to bring out the layered meaning of each fables.
The inaccuracy of this printing also communicates the idea of 'believe it or not' for these fables.

Unlike other publication, this needs to be flipped upside down continuously to understand the contents of
Chinese fables and the reality.
The binding method for this publication is fully handcrafted by me. The book binding format is butterfly fold
and Japanese stitch binding and lastly crafted into traditional Chinese calendar format in order to maintain
a Chinese element in it.
This book was originally printed in Knuckles & Notch at Bali Lane, Singapore due to risograph printing
in Malaysia is not accepting anymore projects currently.
This print will be up for pre-order in mid 2018 soon.
