A branded event partnership between Preview Magazine and Melissa Shoes
I was managing editor, fashion and copy lead for a sponsored event between Preview Magazine and Melissa Shoes, to launch the brand's collaboration with designer Jeremy Scott.
A brand-sponsored magazine event. We conceptualized the event design elements to be in-line with the Preview magazine aesthetic and the Melissa Shoes x Jeremy Scott theme: fun and fashion combined.
Bespoke fashion collection. To play up the crazy and colorful vibe of the collab, I tapped fashion designer Wilar Mateo to create bespoke outfits that reflected key pairs in the collection.
As copy lead, I expressed the playful theme of the collection through comic book speech bubbles containing statements shoe-crazed fashionistas would say.
The event space, open to influencers and members of the media, featured punchy elements that reflected both the brand and the magazine: comic book speech bubbles with fashion statements, a color palette that reflected the Jeremy Scott aesthetic, and fun installations around the venue such as a shoe selfie decal and live mannequins wearing our bespoke fashion collection.
