Back around February 7th of this year, I made a piece dedicated to two of the worlds greatest producers. J-Dilla, from Detroit, is considered one of the most legendary producers of Hip Hop. On the other side of the globe you have Nujabes who is equally as legendary. Both were featured on in some capacity on Adult Swim, whether it be Dilla on a bumper or Nujabes on Samurai Champloo. With that in mind I used a mixture of styles, mostly based around Samurai Champloo. I wanted to make it feel like this was a 12" LP you could pick up and toss on your turntable to enjoy. Additionally, I gave it a look that made it appear as though it has been around for a long time, very much like rare records that are hard to come by.
