I was commissioned by the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois to produce a magazine cover illustration or four planned building renovations for their quarterly magazine.

Initial style sample. Took the idea of an architectural elevation and made it 2.5D, and used color contrasts to create contours.

Development sketches to show how each building would be simplified into shapes.
