Tarot card designs inspired by The Raven Cycle, a YA Fiction series by Maggie Stiefvater.
Each primary character of the series is represented by the tarot card pertaining to their journey throughout the story. While the book series is based in folklore and fantasy, it is also set in modern-day America, and so it was important to represent both these aspects in my designs. My simplified, modern interpretations of traditional tarot art aim to capture the magic and wonder of Cabeswater and the legend of Glendower, while expressing the quirks of the teenage characters exploring their supernatural town.
