How do we teach kids about nutrition in a fun way?
games. apps. animals.

Munch'n Move is a new system designed to reinforce healthy habits, specifically the consumption of vegetables and the importance of exercise, in young children. This was a collaborative effort between myself and fellow designer David Corneail. The system uses paper cutouts, stickers, sing-along songs, and movement exercises along with an interactive app. Each component of the system allows children to interact and monitor the health of their Munch character in real-time. The more greens the child eats, the healthier their Munch will become.

FINAL SOLUTION
Digital & Print (physical)

After conducting primary research like interviews, acting out our system, and surveys, as well as secondary research like site visits and building user personas, we finally developed our final solution(s). These include re-postable stickers, a retail website, app for iPad and iPhone, placemat, and box with Munch character.
PROCESS

Research Methodologies:
We used both primary and secondary research to target an opportunity need and help focus the scope of our project. We then developed a promise, essence, and goals statement which we always referred back to. Throughout the process we conducted interviews, surveys, site visits, designed archetypes, and developed individual personas which included a day in the life scenario.

Paper Prototypes:
After the intial research phase was completed, we created a variety of paper prototypes for both the physical and digital experience.

Bodystorming:
To better understand the experience David and I acted out the experience several times throughout the process, along with hosting user feedback sessions.
