Photographic Book Cover Project

For this project, my object of choice was a pair of glasses. I took several different photos of the glasses to try and decide how to arrange them for a book cover for the classic novel, Lord of the Flies.

In this book, themes of savagery and a loss of civilization are prominent. I made the book cover image emulate that feeling by adjusting the light and editing it.

I added in the effects of glass, dirt, and blood to add more interest to the photo as well. By adjusting the brightness of the photo to make it darker, it makes the photo seem more sinister and menacing.
