The 1:5 scale bike model was entered in to ArtPrize 2012 in Grand Rapids, MI, which is the world's largest art competition.  

This is the starting construction of the base which displayed the bike in the ArtPrize 2012 competition.

I used MDF board to build the base.

I tested the base to make sure the scale was correct.

I had to flip back the protective sleeves on the plexiglass as I built the display case.  At this point, I tested the case to make sure no additional sanding was needed to let the case rest on the base comfortably.

I tested the overhead clearance here, and I checked to make sure that the case did not touch the top of the bike.  All clearances were good.

This is the final product on display in ArtPrize 2012, Grand Rapids, MI.

This is my ArtPrize 2012 entry.  The book, The Jungle Way, which I illustrated and helped write, is to the right.  The book also had motorcycles in it.  The venue was custom motorcycle themed.
