I have always loved thinking outside of the box and forming something unique and different through design. I have such a passion for digital design so I wanted to portray that through this project. These two images are portraits of a Greek mythical dragon called Ladon. Both portraits were created with the purpose to be used as head shots for the cast member playing Ladon in a fictional theatre production.
I created these portraits by taking photos of my friend in a studio at my university. This involved working with different lighting so that I could achieve a dark effect. I then took these portraits into Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom where I adjusted the levels, filters and hue saturation to get a dark, mysterious colour and tone to the image. I took a photo of leaves from my backyard and placed them into Photoshop where I manipulated them onto her face to make her look like a dragon. This took a lot of work through using masks, effects and layering in order to get the result of a realistic texture on her face, giving it a dragon feel.
