Throughout the history, Istanbul has been seen as a “bridge” between Europe and Asia. Therefore, cultural interaction between nations has developed the foundation of today’s Istanbul. For centuries, European and Middle Eastern cultures have been living and interacting in the city. This complexity has been illustrated with ancient sculptures. The idea of seeing these statues in the middle eastern concept is the metaphor. These series of illustrations has been created in this theme with an aim to bring the ancient world nostalgia into a modern day in Istanbul.
