Rā is a concrete pendant lamp which is made from demolished and recycled concrete waste.
A product that is designed keeping sustainability & environmental impact in mind.
The whole purpose of this project was to come up with a product that is sustainable. Looking at the current scenario, we as designers need to design more products that are sustainable and environmental friendly. Rā is a pendant lamp that is designed keeping the environmental impact in mind, the materials are carefully chosen for its making. Materials like demolished concrete, concrete, copper, and powder coated metal were used for the production of the pendant lamp.
Since the main purpose of the project revolves around sustainability and reducing the environmental impact the product wont be mass manufactured, the product will be produced on orders this way we save lot of energy. Also for the packaging the inner tray will be made of compostable bamboo and the outer packaging will be made of recyclable paper.
