These are examples of postcards I designed and created in InDesign for the new community art center in Alma as a volunteer. At the time we had no budget for postal mailings or advertising. Once the postcards were created, I converted them to .pdfs for sending in mass distribution e-mails and posting on the art center's Web site. We printed enough on a donated color printer to distribute in Gratiot County businesses and organization offices and attach to bulletin boards.
The above postcard, an artists' talk and reception, featured the work of Central Michigan University art professors. Challenges included coordinating with and gathering work of all three professors during their busiest time of the academic year to create the postcard in time for plenty of advance publicity.
The above postcard announced the opening of the second exhibition of local artists.

This is the template for the postcard back. The logo, art center address, contact information and hours of operation are static. The exhibition information changes.
