„Accurate Inaccurate"
In 2010 I attended a group exhibition in the Budapest Gallery where the exhibitions concept was implemented with a few written thoughts. These words where presented next to my installation: “It has been a while when I drew last time by free hand, except the sketches required for my work. Nowadays I rather prepare drawing tools, instant pictures. Here, the space marking continuous picture comes up from the three dimensional ceramic line constructed from points. The action that starts the project is waiting for the participants…”
I built a match-stick holding ceramic line on the wall of the gallery. (size 6,7x3,5m) On this I placed approximately 6200 match-sticks. The work was an open sentence for me. The participants where free to “dip in to” the installations outcome. To operate the installation I placed a box of match on one end of the line. The aim of this experiment was to observe whether the chain reaction functions or not, and what are the reactions of the participants. I was also curious about the picture of the installation before and after as well.
The 15 meter long line of matches was tempting. A volunteer stepped forward and started the process...
