A Prince’s Blind Perspective
A study of sight and perspectives through illustration & photography
Fascinated to explore the old fairytale of Rapunzel through the viewpoint of the blinded Prince, I began exploring new ways of ‘seeing’ and of expressing these visions through different media, such as film, photography, clay, glass and paint.
More of my illustration work here.
Pen and pencil studies of eyes
Watercolour study of my father
I produced these photographs, inspired by the incredible blind photographer, Kurt Weston, whose work conveys the barriers which separate those with sight from those without.
This clay and fuse-tacked glass mask is the embodiment of my blinded Prince.
Upon wearing it, one would experience the Prince’s world.
