IAPM Mall Shanghai

An amazing project for one of my Chinese clients - I got to illustrate the Chinese New Year calendar for IAPM mall in Shanghai, China! Chinese New Year was celebrated on February 16th in 2018, the Year of the Dog. I illustrated this happy dog in traditional Chinese New Year colors for the February page and the other months are filled up with more of my existing illustrations!

Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls Volume 2

Another illustration for Rebel Girls, and this time for Volume 2! It's a portrait of Joan Beauchamp Procter, an awesome female zoologist from London.

'Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls' is a children's book packed with 100 bedtime stories about the life of 100 extraordinary women from the past and the present, illustrated by 100 female artists from all over the world, and is published by Timbuktu Labs. This project was a huge crowdfunding success. In fact it was the most funded book in crowdfunding history, raising more than 1 million dollars! How cool is that?

So proud I got to be part of this project again and portray one of these 'rebel girls'.

Two spreads of a picture book I worked on that unfortunately remained unpublished. This was going to be a seek-and-find book with all kinds of animals in different habitats. So sad that this project never got published, but still very happy with these artworks! And who knows, maybe one day I'll find another purpose for them.

Another monster illustration I made for The Monster Project! The Monster Project invites artists from all over the world to recreate a kid's drawing in their own style. The final results are presented to the kids who made the original drawings with the intention to let the kids see what their ideas can turn into and therefore what they can accomplish. Such an inspiring project and I am so happy to be a part of it again this year (third time already!).

Another unpublished illustration about a princess and an owl. Hope to find another purpose for this one some time!

The first EVER picture book that I illustrated is out now! It's a KinderGuides to Shakespeare's tragic love story 'Romeo and Juliet' and it's written, directed and published by the wonderful publisher Moppet Books. This was a huge project (47 fully illustrated pages!) and took months and months of hard work, but I couldn't be more proud of the outcome. In this project I am sharing some spread artworks with you guys, some sketches and progress, but if you want to see and feel the entire thing make sure to get yourself a copy in my shop!
Hope you guys liked all these projects I worked on in 2017,
please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Thank you!
