This sofa is basically based on the technique of patch work and block printing. The patch work has a variety of cloths stitched together to make a single cloth. Alongside that another plain cloth is used to make the seating of the sofa and patch work is used to make sides and the back of the sofa. The idea was to transform an old sofa and give it a new identity. The color palette of the sofa is in vibrant colors following a traditional theme. The colors used are in shades and tints of blue, red and orange. The inspiration is taken from the traditional sofas with a tribal local touch but in the form of patch work. The sofa is supposed to be placed in a lounge or a reading room. The warm colors are used in order to give an impact of coziness, and study room is an ideal place to keep this sofa. The sofa is simple but the texture applied on it through cloth is in the form of blocks. Traditionally upholstered, this sofa features a low, deep-buttoned back (also known as ‘tufted’) and a deep seat with the quilted design and elegant lines making this a smart sofa that will never go out of fashion.
