While walking through these peaceful fields to the sounds of crickets and birds, I have found myself thinking about this strange sunset during “White Nights” in Moscow Oblast. This strange phenomenon happens in the summer in Russia when nights are unusually bright.
Sunsets signify the end of one day and the beginning of another. Yet it was bright out - even after the sunset ended, signifying further that life continues, and amplified by the peaceful sound of birds and crickets.
