Emotive composition

For this project I was given 4 words, surprise, balance, tension and restraint. Using this words I then had to create 4 type layouts, all using the same elements ( 200x200 white area square with a 2pt boarder, black and white and red must be used in one area to enhance the emotive effect and each had to have the same given text.).Each layout had to represent one of the emotive words given and here are my outcomes.
