Built-in electric mobility concept that comes with the module apartment

The "Quno" concept is a two-seater electric mobility device concept that comes with a modular residential environment. The design concept is a combined solution of residential space and mobility device that enhance the efficiency of future residential communities and facilitate personal mobility.

The background of this concept in 2007 was that the modular design concept would be extended to more sustainable life-cycle demand, supply, production and disposal lifecycle, and optimized mobility would inevitably I thought that it should be harmonized with living environment. I'm optimistic about the vision of this future are still valid.

The modular house and Quno maximize the efficiency of the construction, sharing space together to provide users with an extended experience and share energy. Of course, it may be unreasonable that all living environments are modular, but there will certainly be market needs if the way in which space is provided to the way of life that is being personalized becomes more flexible.

This project was awarded a gold medal in the competition of university students hosted by Carvision in 2007, and it was introduced at the Seoul Motor Show that year.

The structure of the toy wheel is applied to the front wheel in a simple cabin shape. The rear wheels which have electric motors inside are mounted outside the cabin, minimizing the interference into the interior space. It will turn when the vehicle is docked and will serve as a street light.

Like the docking system between Quno and the module house, each module house is interconnected to share infrastructure such as energy, water and sewage. As you go to higher floors, you can stack up like a brick and attach solar modules to the remaining ends.

It is interesting too see that a ridiculous idea becomes real,  and that the industry which seemed unchanged is also changing at a tremendous pace.
