IN | This project objective was to develop and to test the target market reaction to a specific value proposition on the RTA furniture segment in COLOMBIA.
ES | Este proyecto se desarrolló como una comprobación relacionada con la creación de valor y competitividad en el sector de mobiliario en COLOMBIA.
The problem:
IN | Trough a market research I was able to prove that potential buyers of furniture can see the advantages that RTA furniture offers over traditional furniture however they won't choose to RTA over a traditional pice of furniture because they persive the assembly process as a very tedious activity.
ES | A través de una investigación de mercado se comprobó que los compradores de muebles ven ventajas en los sistemas de mobiliario RTA sin embargo no recurren a estos por lo engorroso del proceso de armado.
IN | I used a tool listed in Strategyzer's Value proposition design. Trough the value proposition canvas and extensive research the project had a deep understanding of the necessities and desires of the potential buyers.
ES | Para tener un entendimiento profundo de las necesidades, deseos y frustraciones se utilizo la herramienta propuesta por Strategyzer en "Diseñando la propuesta de valor". y extensiva investigación de campo.
Objectives:

Design an easier assembly process compared to traditional RTA furniture without affecting the structural integrity of the pice of furniture.
To incorporate in the manufacturing process specific and specialized methods to add to the value of the product and that make it harder to copy or to make imitations by other brands in the market.

Diseñar una dinámica de ensamble o armado que supere en términos de facilidad a los productos existentes en el mercado sin afectar la integridad estructural del mueble.
Integrar en la cadena productiva del producto procesos de manufactura especializados o que agreguen valor al producto y dificultan la imitación o copia por parte de la competencia.
IN | In order to archive a 5 minutes assembly I had to design a special piece that allowed a hinge-like opening but it could be blocked at a specific angle. This piece is still in a patent and register process so I'm unable to share it. This pice allows me to accomplish the second objective of the project, making it harder for any competitor to copy the product.
ES | Para lograr esta secuencia de ensamble se diseño un herraje que permite una apertura tipo bisagra y el bloqueo en un angulo especifico. Debido a que esta pieza esta en un proceso de registro y protección de propiedad intelectual no puedo compartir fotos o registros todavía. Este herraje cumple el segundo objetivo del proyecto, dificultando la copia por parte de la competencia, ya que no existe un herraje que genere la misma funcionalidad en el mueble que el diseñado y propuesto.
