Modernizing the 1940s: Western Costume Mentorship

Senior Mentor Project under the direction of Costume Designer Betsy Heimann for Western Costume. Using the 1946 film The Big Sleep and original 1940s garments as references, we reinterpreted the essence of the 40s and Lauren Bacall's character in a modern way. My partner and fellow Otis senior Elana Kloss, wanted to bring a graphic, high contrast quality to our designs.
