My graphic interpretation of a Haiku from Kobayashi Issa
"Couvert de papillons
L'arbre mort
Est en fleurs !"
( 1763-1828 )
L'arbre mort
Est en fleurs !"
( 1763-1828 )
I chose this haiku because it refers to the paradox of life and death. In my scene, I decided to set up the dead tree, right in the middle of my scene because there are main elements of the poem.
I wanted to transcribe the emotions that emanates from this poem by using rather warm and bright colors that are also a graphic signature for me as well as a break between a static decor, and animated elements. The movements of the elements of the decorations are rather soft which allows to feel the atmosphere of the poem.
