The Client required a unit to house two chocolate fountains that would also serve as a worktop. The fountains require regular maintenance and adequate ventilation. Space was at a premium in this cafe and so the unit also had to be able to be used as storage when the machines are not running. That, added with with the premises' awkward angles and proportions made for interesting problem solving.

The doors had to be able to clear the taps as they open, and intrude minimally into the cramped working area behind the counter.
