Joaquin Trujillo: The Camouflage Collection

Menswear company JCRT joined forces with the Iraq Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) for a meaningful menswear collection comprised of handcrafted camouflage and plaids in honor of those who have served.

Photographer Joaquin Trujillo's subjects were actual veterans who volunteered to sit for their portrait and share their experiences. It is through these stories that we begin to learn and understand the life in between the polarizing politics of today.

"I love when my work gives me these kinds of opportunities, not only did I get to photograph Veterans but it was also a pleasure to work with Jeffrey and Robert, the founders of JCRT in there new line." - Joaquin Trujillo.
"During my time in the Iraq War from 2003-2005, I did lose a few friends in combat—one being my best friend. I have carried the guilt of his loss with me for many years. He was killed in combat a day before his departure home. He was my best friend and I loved him dearly. He always smiled and made me laugh. If it was not for him, I would not have made it through the war. I made it through the war, but he did not. I think about him a lot and miss him so much. He will not be forgotten."
