PROTESTA 6.0

Graphic identity for the sixth edition of Protesta, International Social Critic Film Festival. This year's edition revolves around the new technologies and the relationship between them and the human being.

In a conceptual level, we were inspired by some great science fiction literary works such as "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley (1932), "1984" by George Orwell (1949) and "Do androids dream of electric sheep?" by Philip K. Dick (1968). The main references to develop the graphics have been the films "Metropolis" by Fritz Lang (1927), "2001: a space odyssey" by Stanley Kubrick (1968) and "Blade Runner" by Ridley Scott (1982) . We also have been inspired by the television series "Black Mirror" (2011) and "The Handmaid's Tale" (2017), as well as by the anime films "Akira" (1988) and "Ghost in the Shell" (1995).

With this graphic identity we wanted to emphasize this idea of the big eye that watches everything, and our voluntary and involuntary complicity with the mass control.

Technological progress is only allowed
when their products can be applied in some way
to decrease human freedom.
