Trying to better my matte painting skills by committing to at least one matte painting per week. There may be more... There may be less. This one was finished in 4 hours and was a test to see how far I could go within a short amount of time in between projects.

Generally, I start with a landscape, and then I begin to bring in the key parts, such as the castle, and from there it's pretty much a game of adding images and building geometry to help with the overall composition.
