Time: Lots of It!
This is my first ever photo-realistic vector watch! This project took me many hours and was a lot of intense detail work. I decided to reference my watch on the very beautiful watch made by Circulr, because I loved the simplicity and overall style of their watch. But the watch I made didn't start of that pretty...
Humble Beginnings
This is my first draft of my navy watch. I had down the basic shapes, but it still seemed off and so dull. I knew I had to add tons more layers, gradients, and time to this lowly first draft. So, I kept going and used the critiques from my peers!
Layers on Layers
All of the layers this watch took was unreal. By keeping up on them every 10-15 minutes, I was able to avoid an unorganized mess at the end. I wish I would've done that on my last project...
The Result
I made a couple things my own in this project, by making the watch hands a darker navy, changing up the intense shadow on the right side of the watch rim, and adding my own last name for the text. I had a lot of fun piecing together this realistic watch.
