Sinners’ Ark is a platform to set sail the the ‘Ark’ - prison cells - together with the inmates towards the wide ocean on a daily basis, giving the inmates a physical experience of sailing towards the ‘unknown’. Through the unknown journey, its intention is to generate inmates‘ inner conversation with themselves. It provides a new dimension for them to repent from the inside. The prison is designed to provides both spiritual and physical experiences to the inmates and their beloved ones.
 
Sinners’ Ark is a self-sustain prison where inmates have to farm their own vegetable and fish their own fish as a source of protein. The prison has three main ark the as cell blocks. The inmates back to their cell after their last meal of the day. The steel bridge and cranes lower down to set sail the arks. The inmates will spend their night sailing on the sea. The arks will be pulled back to the core in the next morning.
 
 
 
The supplies will be loaded onto the loading deck. The steel cable driven by the machine on top of the core will pull the supplies directly into kitchen and storage block on top. These supplies include the fish caught by the Ark during night time.

Left: The steel bridge linking the visitor check-point and the cathedral entrance. A long straight narrow journey exposed to the surrounding weather.
 
Upper-middle: The horizontal steel bridges linking the ark cell blocks with the guards’ platform.
 
Bottom-middle: The steel bridges rotate 90 degree, it forms a vertical fencing and disconnecting the linkage between the guards’ platform and ark cell blocks.

Bottom-right: The cathedral and visitor area are opens for the inmates’ family and friends. It is connected with the visitors check-point by the steel bridges. The detention cells located on top of cathedral. The light shaft on top of the detentin cells facing the cathedral creates a spiritual experience for the detained inmates.
 
 
 
Left: The machine blocks as the heart of the prison. The steel cranes, steel bridges and transfer cables are all driven by these blocks.
 
Right: The hull of the ark has the fishing function. Inmates will collect the fish from the net located at the hull. The fish supply will be transferred to kitchen and storage block via steel cable.
