Testing123 Branding

Harris County spans a vast 1,777 squares miles and is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the US. When updating Harris County's HIV prevention program we took into account the at-risk groups we were tasked with reaching. We developed a brand that was both memorable and flexible and spoke in a clear, friendly manner.

Houston has one of the highest rates of HIV transmission in the state of Texas, affecting a disproportionate amount of African Americans, Latin/Hispanic MSMs, and transgender individuals. Through education and access to testing, Testing123 aims to lower stigma associated with HIV testing.

Bilingual materials for Spanish speakers have been incorporated into the brand system to serve the Hispanic/Latinx population in Harris County.
Social media is utilized (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) as a channel to reach our audience organically at little to no cost for the county.
Branded giveaways familiarize the city with our brand, making sure the people with the greatest need for testing are aware of our services. Through outreach staff, these materials are provided to the public at nightclubs, social events, health fairs, and schools.
