Let’s be real. Designing clothes is one thing, but physically making them is another. Well that is what Lord Zapata (@lordzapata) has done with every piece created by Muse by Pablo and he makes it look easy. 

 

Muse by Pablo has redefined the meaning behind brand authenticity. What they’re creating is not something you can get in stores (yet).  Between the designing of their material and the marketing of their models on social media, this is not a brand that is afraid to push their limit. 

 

The brand officially launched their first website towards the end of last year, debuting a collection of uniquely customized bottoms and jackets, for both men and women. I cannot break down the exact creative process that goes into creating such distinct style, but if you are new to Muse by Pablo, I can help you imagine what wearing one of their Man Eater jackets may feel like. 

 

The Man Eater is a black leather jacket that lightly falls over your shoulders.  The sleeves are hand-painted – one with cheetah and zebra animal print and the other with bold streaks of red and yellow that outline sayings of women encouragement. The front is filled streaks of sky blue that lie behind a pair of painted red dice and a black skull; and the back is kept mostly black, with painted guns and roses, shadowing the words “City of Angels” and “SEX” boldly printed on the bottom cuff right before the jacket is complete.

 

All of the jackets and bottoms in their current collection hold the same technique of creating an original style to each look. The pants are made in the same way. From the planned distressed tears along the thighs, the zippers, buckles and diamonds sewn in along the seems and images of painted art along the cuffs of the legs. 

 

Muse by Pablo is Mieux Magazine’s most recent winner of the Clothing Brand of the Year Award and has announced a new collection dropping this summer. They’ve been giving previews on their social media, featuring new tops, jackets, accessories, possibly bags and the best thing yet – heels!
