BAKERY BOMBÓN - Packaging

BAKERY BOMBÓN - Simple packaging designs for an artisanal bakery startup.
Above is the original packaging design, and a later update. The client's selling point was that each of her products were hand baked personally with attention and love.
The original design had a 'papercraft' feel, to reflect the handmade quality of her baked goods, whereas the updated look aimed to present a more elegant look.
In order to emphasise the personal attention given to her products, I added a white bar where the client could hand-write in labels or messages to her customers.
For the initial design, the client didn't really specify any features, but when it came to the update, she had a clearer idea of what she wanted. Being a literary graduate, she wanted a different food-related quote on each packet. In addition. she requested that the updated design incorporate the Japanese Ensō symbol.
The labels are designed to fold over the top of the package, doubling as a seal to ensure freshness for the cookies inside.
After trying out a few layout variations and landing on the final choice, I opted to develop the design into a variety of pastel colours that she could mix to liven up multi-part orders, and a set of business cards based on them.
