Overview
This project consisted of proper branding and visual assets to further develop a brewing company. During this process, I used mockups to get a better visual and clarity of a project. Most mockups of beer bottles, for the purpose of our client, to see his brand potential. The mockups designs were created using Adobe Illustrator. Each design was carefully given attention to detail adding a brief overview of the specialized larger in small print.
Logo & Branding
The logo I designed for Thomas Hill was as instructed professional, simple, and modern. I used the company name as an advantage to insert recognition. For example the entire logo correlated with a river-like concept. This part of the branding challenged my creativity and awareness as a designer. I was able to make the logo responsive being used on all size platforms, especially beer bottles.
Secondary Logos
During this process, I created a numerous amount of logos. However, I condensed the logos to top two choices. Each of them held a different font. I used the font as leverage to weigh out the best option. For example, when I used Din Alternate In one option it brought out simplicity and modern, which the client asked for. Therefore I was able to reach success with proper font usage. One strategy I also capitalized on to reach my ultimate choice was to compare the two side by side. One logo held a background circular vector to complete the shape, on the other hand, the second option didn't. I decided to use my second option, it represented originality.
Color Palette
Both colors were chosen wisely. The client mentioned the colors he wanted to use for his brand. I was able to find a shade that I believed would bring out the best in the clients brand. I used the colors strategically, for example, I tested out which color would represent the sun/moon, land, and river. These colors would also connect with the physical product and packaging that viewers would most likely see. The yellow would represent the positive space and the blue would connect to a negative like space, which would be the river.

Din Alternate
Modern and simple, which played an important part in the creation of the logo. Din Alternate font style allowed me to make the logo professional and legible for readers to see. Based on other brewing companies, that uses serif based fonts I decided to take a different approach that will allow the customer to effortlessly recognize the font as well as the logo.

Helvetica Neue Medium
A sans serif font that held potential to be the official font for the branding. Helvetica is a commonly used font, that appears in numerous branding. This font became my second option because it held a plain characteristic that didn't fit with the brand image. Opposed to Din Alternate which held a certain thin and thick strokes, Helvetica did not have those same values, therefore, can affect the brand image of being too plain.
