Cadillac Inferno

Through a sponsored project with General Motors, I got to spend the fall semester of 2018 working on a 1/3 scale Cadillac model designed by my professor.

This design is all about drama, pushing street-legal length and width measurements. Not to mention the fins in the back and front could prove dangerous to anything that gets in this vehicle's way. The subtle curving surfaces that steadily move throughout this design were a challenge to capture, yet incredibly rewarding in the end. Capturing the layering of elements in the front stumped me for weeks, but ultimately were found hiding out in the clay after I kept digging. The design was fun and challenging to capture.

In the end, I tested out an LED strip to see how lighting could boost the drama of the form from underneath, where the vibrant red reflections ultimately inspired the name of this model.
