Menopausal hot flushes disrupt work, sleep and social life for up to 15 years. It’s estimated that 13 Million women in the UK have experienced or are experiencing the menopause.

A busy lifestyle, debilitating symptoms and social stigma make the menopause unbearable for many women. One of the most embarrassing and disruptive symptoms are hot flushes.

Commonly considered a minor inconvenience, menopausal hot flushes significantly impact daily experience for up to 15 years. For most women there are no viable medical treatments.
We tested a range of device formats with users and found that while a wrist watch format worked well for some, many women experience hot flushes as localized events (e.g. around the chest or neck) not full body. This drove the move towards a discreet, portable design that can be place anywhere on the body, where ever it's needed.
Pebl provides targeted cooling to tackle the anxiety and discomfort of a hot flush.

It’s small, simple form mimics a make-up compact allowing it to be carried with the user, while remaining discrete and ‘hidden’ in public. Cheaper, smaller and lighter than Peltier coolers, Pebl is discreet and affordable. To help tackle anxiety and stress, it’s important Pebl is reliable. With it’s simple mechanism and more than enough doses to last a day, Pebl just works.
