The purpose of a lamp is to create a light source elevated above the ground. It's useful
to be able to rotate the light to illuminate different objects. From this simple analysis of the most essential lamp function came the idea of this standing lamp.
The spherical lamp head rests on a circle and can be rotated any way you like.
Thanks to this feature this lamp can be used as a task lamp when you need a light to read, as a general illumination lamp, especially when pointed at a white wall or ceiling,
or as a detail focus illuminating a piece of decoration, a picture or a sculpture.
The body of the lamp is made of a metal tube bent to form two circles with a straight piece joining them; one of the circles holds a lamp head and the other serves as a base for the lamp. The cable runs inside the tube. The lamp uses a foot activated pedal switch. The head is made of a translucent plastic with a socket mounted to it.
Different combinations of materials, coatings and light temperature create a large variety of appearances and a minimalist style of this lamp lets it to blend in well into almost
any room.
