In this project, students picked a company or organization as their client to design a brochure or an annual report for. The client I picked was the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

After extensive research on the client's mission, business model, brand identity, and other information, I wrote a design brief based on my research, and then pitched concepts I had for the annual report. The concept I landed on was an "optimist workbook" that emphasized on the foundation's belief that optimism takes work, and the world has a reason to be more optimistic. Both of those ideas were drawn from their annual letters that I read and analyzed. In this annual report, I included various activities that fit into the workbook language, at the same time illustrate the works done by the foundation that contribute to why they believe that there are reasons to be more optimistic.
