"Ulysses"--Molly Bloom Soliloquy
The content is about the last chapter of Ulysses by James Joyce.
According to the British Library, ‘since its publication in 1922, readers have been daunted, dazzled and puzzled by Ulysses’. It is also often described as probably ‘the most purchased and least read book in the world…’ Indeed, the novel occupies an intimidating position within the literary canon as a byword for experimental modernism. Joyce himself helped forge that reputation, by claiming ‘I’ve put in so many enigmas and puzzles that it will keep the professors busy for centuries arguing over what I meant.’ The book, a modern reworking of The Odyssey, takes place over one day in the life of Leopold Bloom – a middle-aged advertising salesman – whose wanderings are not across the world during many years, but around Dublin over the course of 16 June 1904. One of its more daunting passages is Molly Bloom’s 4,391 word, one sentence monologue at the end of the book.
I take the text of this monologue and recreate it in a manner that will engage the audience and encourage them to read it.
The Final Overview in AI:
Final work:
Because the whole content is a private soliloquy, I chose to put my work in the corner of the stairwell. Compare to other places in public, the stairwell is a quiet and private place, just like molly's room.
